The exhibition 6 Künstler aus Basel x2 in Kunsthalle Basel is part of the Regionale 12 exhibition taking place in and around Basel in 15 different institutes.

On 13 September the members of the jury, consisting of Bartomeu Marí, Agustín Pérez Rubio, Wenceslao Rambla, Nicolaus Schaffhausen and Rosalía Torrent, decided to let my work Showcasing Today’s Essentials win the yearly International Contemporary Art Prize Diputació de Castelló, organised by EACC. My work has been nominated for the art prize 5×5Castelló2011. Premi Internacional d´art contemporani Diputació de Castelló.

Five artists, Ignasi Aballí, Marlene Dumas, Dora García, Pipilotti Rist and Ai Weiwei, have been asked by EACC to each propose five contemporary artists for the art prize. I’m staying as an artist in residence in Basel from July until December. The residency is part of a long term exchange programme organised by Kaus Australis, CBK Rotterdam and IAAB.
